Today 24 February, Estonia celebrates its 104 independence day anniversary. On 20 August 2022, 31 years will go by since restoring the independence and breaking free from under the Soviet Union power.

On this day, many Estonia people, from the small nothern Europe country, woke up ready to tune in for the ceremonial Estonian flag hoisting ceremony. Instead, news from Ukraine welcomed them, which has saddened and shocked communities worldwide. For Estonia, the 24 February marks the day the Republic of Estonia was declared. But now, it also marks the day when Russia invaded Ukraine.

For the last weeks, it has been speculated if Russia invades Ukraine is the successor of the Soviet Union planning to restore the borders of the socialist state that collapsed in 1991. If yes, are the Baltic countries next?
